1. Master Educational Agreement
By executing an Institutional Order Form, initiating a pilot program, or authorizing users to access Vera Edu, the subscribing school, technical institute, or educational academy ("Institution") agrees to be bound by these Terms of Service together with the executed Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
The individual signing on behalf of the Institution warrants that they hold legal signatory authority (such as School Principal, Legal Representative, or Board Director).
2. Institutional Licensing & Multi-Role Access
Vera Edu grants the Institution a non-exclusive, non-transferable, subscription-based license to access the cloud platform during the academic subscription term across four dedicated user tiers:
- Institutional Administrators: Full oversight of academic years, timetables, roster imports, and audit logs.
- Teachers & Faculty: Access to assigned classes, lesson logs, digital signature submission, and grade entry.
- Students: Access to their individual timetable, daily homework agenda, didactic materials, and grades.
- Parents & Guardians: Read access to their children’s attendance, evaluations, absence justifications, and circular notices.
3. Legal Validity of Digital Registro di Classe
Vera Edu is architected in accordance with statutory electronic record-keeping standards (including Italian D.L. 95/2012 converted into L. 135/2012 on electronic school records).
All entries recorded by teachers (attendance, daily program topics, assigned homework, and grades) are immutable, cryptographically timestamped, and legally equivalent to paper registers once digitally submitted.
4. School Administration & User Rostering
The Institution is responsible for:
- Accurate enrollment of student, parent, and teacher rosters.
- Assigning appropriate role permissions and revoking access promptly upon staff departure or student transfer.
- Maintaining confidentiality of administrative master credentials.
5. Faculty Obligations & Evaluation Integrity
Teachers agree to maintain individual credential security and refrain from sharing authentication codes. Evaluations entered must reflect genuine academic judgments conducted under the Institution’s official grading policies.
6. Student & Family Acceptable Use Policy
Students and families agree to use internal messaging and classroom channels exclusively for appropriate academic purposes. Cyberbullying, harassing language, unauthorized recording, or sharing credentials will result in disciplinary escalation by the school.
7. Uptime SLAs & Examination Period Support
Vera Edu commits to a 99.9% uptime target during normal school operating hours (07:00 – 19:00 CET, Monday through Saturday).
During designated mid-year and end-of-year Academic Scrutiny Periods, Vera Edu provides priority engineering monitoring and guaranteed emergency response to ensure uninterrupted grading deliberation sessions.
8. Academic Data & Intellectual Property
All student records, teaching didactics, assignments, and exam results remain the absolute property of the subscribing Institution, students, and authors. Vera Edu claims zero ownership over academic content.
9. Term, Annual Renewal & Data Offboarding
Subscriptions align with the academic year cycle (typically September 1 through August 31). Upon non-renewal, the school is provided with standardized, certified JSON/CSV and PDF archive exports of all student registers prior to scheduled database purging.
10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Italy and applicable European Union regulations. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent court having jurisdiction over the subscribing institution or Milan, Italy.
